Jimmy Leli and his squadron from the United States Air Force Academy had the privilege to march in 44th Presidential Inauguration for President Barack Obama on 20 January 2009. His squadron was awarded “Air Force Academy’s Outstanding Squadron for 2008”,which allowed for him to march in such a prestigious event, representing the Academy. Jimmy was also able to lead his the squadron’s formation while holding the “guide-on flag” (This blue flag can be seen in the pictures). Jimmy was able to march in the very front of Cadet Squadron 04, aka “The Fightin’ Fourth”, throughout the entire mile and a half stretch down Pennsylvania Boulevard.

| Some of the other pictures include Jimmy practicing carrying the guide-one (flag) with his squadron at the United States Naval Academy. Jimmy and “The Fighters of Cadet Squadron 4” stayed at the Naval Academy throughout the week leading up to the Inauguration. He was able to not only see Air Force’s sister Academy, but also tour Washington D.C., war memorials, the Air Force Memorial, and the city of Annapolis (all paid for by the tax payers). |
